Senior software tester required for leading-edge technology company .
Ensure projects are tested with maximum efficiency + that design and technical decisions made, support timely delivery of a quality product. Includes working closely with the QA Test Mgr and Development Teams to create viable plans and ensure quality work is carried out throughout the QA team.
Skills:
Deliver and execute new or modified tests to an acceptable level of quality and to agreed deadlines.
Plan and accurately estimate work which may be carried out by other engineers.
Track on-going work and highlight in a timely manner any deviations from agreed plan.
Ensure that the Quality Procedures implemented are followed throughout the development team.
Interact with peers in a professional manner.
Represent QA at departmental level (eg CCB).
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people.
Develop test plans, designs and schedules.
Diagnose faults and support developers during analysis.
Produce clear, complete and appropriate bug reports and Test Records.
Proactively contribute to improvement of development processes.
Demonstrate an understanding of different software test processes and methodologies (eg IEE829).
Mentor to junior staff members.
Strong attention to detail.
Interact with customers and carry out professional work at a client site.
Experience of team leadership essential.
